Since the end of 2004 we started presenting ceramic jewelry in our gallery. We are showing work by Christiane Pluvy, Nicole Barth, Caroline Chevalier and Fanny Acquart-Gensollen from France. Also we show necklaces of selfmade beads in porcelain by Jane Hamlyn in England. From Ines de Booij and Yuk Kan Yeung we are showing porcelain necklaces in combination with pearls and beads. Recently this collection is enlarged with the necklaces by Louise van de Voorde, necklaces that she composes from partly ethnic components such as beads and pendants, precious stones, silver and gilded silver. The longer she is occupying herself with beading the more beautiful, the more old and rare deads she finds and uses in her necklaces. Here on the site we show a selection.
Louise van de Voorde (1950) was educated at the fashion department of the Rietveld Academie and at the AKI-Enschede where she finished her study in 1971. For several years she had her own fashion boutique, at first in Oldenzaal , then in Deventer. From 1977 she also became active in making graphics and pasteldrawing. Beading is her most recent activity along with running the gallery.
